The Suwon Samsung Bluewings and Suwon FC, the only two teams that have no consecutive wins in the K-League Classic (primary league), which passed halfway through the season, will aim to switch the mood by garnering their first consecutive wins.

The Suwon Samsung Bluewings, which was the runner-up in the past season that is currently ranking ninth with five wins, seven losses and nine draws overall through Thursday, will seek consecutive wins in matches against the Jeonnam Dragons on Saturday.

Suwon, which won the match against the Sangju Sangmu on Wednesday, had had one draw and three losses right after clinching four wins. Notably, Suwon gave more than two goals in each match to allow a total of 10 goals in the matches following its win, to post 2.5 lost goals on average in the four matches. In this season, Suwon gave 32 goals, the most for a team after Sangju (33 lost goals) among the 12 teams in the K-League Classic, to post 1.52 lost goals on average per match, but it ended up giving more goals than the average in the following matches after the win.

Suwon FC, currently ranking last in the league’s rankings, which garnered a win for the first time in about two months on Wednesday by beating the Pohang Steelers, will seek to secure its first win over Seongnam FC on Sunday. Suwon FC had 14 shots, which is more double that of Seongnam FC, in their first showdown in March, had 1-1 draw due to its lack of scoring capacity.
