MLB: Kim Hyun-soo, Kang Jung-ho hit 2 hits each on Tuesday

In the U.S., a growing number of people are writing "letters of apology" for Kim Hyun-soo (28, Baltimore Orioles). They reflect on the fact they downplayed Kim‘s capacity during the spring camp. As he plays in increasingly more games, he has demonstrated his capability as a "hitting machine."

In the home game against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday local time, Kim started as the second batter and left fielder, and posted two hits in five times at bat. He thus successfully achieved multi-hits (having two or more hits in a game) in the eighth game since his Major League debut.

Kim has had his third multi-hits this month alone. He has elevated his batting average to 0378. Baltimore won the game 9-3, securing a three-game winning streak.

Kang Jung-ho (29, Pittsburgh Pirates) also had multi-hits the same day. After a home game scheduled the previous day had been cancelled due to rain, Pittsburgh had double headers against the New York Mets on the day. Kang started as a clean-up hitter and third baseman in the first game, and posted two hits and one walk in three times at bat. In the second game, he served a pinch hitter in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure a walk. Pittsburgh won both games.

Park Byung-ho (30, Minnesota Twins) and Lee Dae-ho (34, Seattle Mariners) also started on the same day, but they had no hits and only one walk each in three times at bat.
