Senator Marco Rubio, who fought against Donald Trump in the election and stepped down in March, has made an announcement that he now supports Trump. With Rubio's "surrender," the bandwagon effect will become greater inside and outside the Republic Party among those who see Trump as the winning side.

"I certainly will," said Rubio, asked in an interview with CNN on Saturday if he would make a supporting speech if Trump is nominated as the presidential candidate in the Republican Convention. He noted, "I do not want Hillary Clinton to be the president, and therefore, I do not want anything against the Republic Party. I believe that Trump can become the ultimate change agent."

Rubio also added, "I don't think he should change if he wants to win the race." As a "Washington outsider," Trump has taken different moves from other politicians, and he will have a better chance if he focuses on winning Republican's support.

As Rubio declared that he supports Trump, among the 16 runners who competed with Trump, only two either have not declared to support him or stand against him: former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and Senator Ted Cruz. Bush, who exchanged fierce blows with Trump during the election period, decided not to join the Republican Convention along with the rest of his family including his brother, George W. Bush.
