Korean golf player Lee Ji-hee has won the Yamaha Ladies Open (JLPGA), the 20th victory in her career.

On Saturday, Lee carded the fourth round six-under-par 66, which included seven birdies and a bogey in Katsuragi Golf Club (par 72) located in Shizuoka, Japan. She started the round in the second place (two shots behind), but finally obtained her season's first victory with nine-under-par 279, defeating Shin Ji-yai by three shots.

Lee celebrated her 20th victory at JLPGA, after her first victory in 2001. The prize money is reportedly 18 million yen (appr. 180 million won).

Lee had been tied for the lead with Yoon Chae-young until the 13th hole, but won the game with birdies on the 14th, 15th, and 18th holes. After leading the competition on the previous day, Yoon ended the game in the third place.

Korean golfers have shown strong performance, making three victories together out of the five JLPGA events of this season. Lee Ji-hee jumped to the fifth place in the prize money ranking, despite the two-time elimination from qualifying tournaments early in the season. As a result, four Korean golfers, including Kim Ha-neul (2nd), Shin Ji-yai (3rd) and Lee Bo-mee (4th), are in the top five of the JLPGA prize money ranking.
