Daewoo Electronics announced on Monday that the Mini, the company’s wall-mounted laundry machine, received the Red-Top Awards from the China Household Electrical Appliances Association (CHEAA). The Red-Top Awards are given to the best home appliance products based on the eval‎uations on their technologies, design, and sustainability, by a panel of journalists, electronics experts, and consumers. This is the second Red-Top award that the Mini has earned, following the first one it had won in 2015 under the small-sized washers category.

The Mini, a wall-mounted washing machine with a 3-kilogram capacity, does not need ground space for installation as it can be attached onto the wall. The unique structure spares you the trouble of having to bend down to put in or retrieve the laundry. Introduced in China in 2013, the Mini has already won the Best Brand Award from Alibaba, setting a record of 23,000 units of daily sales on China’s latest Singles’ Day last year.

In the small-sized washers market in China, Daewoo kept their position as first runners for the fifth consecutive year with 65 percentages of market share. The cumulative sales of the Mini in China have reached the mark of 200,000 units.
