Samsung has topped the list as India’s most trusted company, while LG came in third place, a triumph for the two major Korean companies.

According to the Brand Trust Report 2018 announced by market research company TRA Research, Samsung was voted as the most trusted company for the second year, followed by Sony and LG. Tata Group, the largest company in India, came in fourth, a rank higher than last year, while Apple slipped down from fifth place. Dell, Honda, Nike, HP and Maruki Suzuki (a joint venture between Japanese and Indian companies) also joined the top 10 list. Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Oppo rose 18 ranks and achieved 11th place, while Google climbed 22 ranks, becoming No. 18. It was the first time for Google to make the list of top 20.

The report was created based on the reviews of 2,450 consumers living in 16 major cities in India. “Samsung’s triumph of winning the No. 1 title for the second year reflects the company’s efforts to build trust with consumers. Sony and LG have also showcased their consistency over the past four years ranking among the top 3 ranks,” said TRA Research.
